What We Provide

We offer a safe home environment which is tailored assistance to each of our residents, while encouraging continual independence. Our team members are available 24 hours a day to assist with bathing, dressing, medication, and other therapeutic activities. Friendly Horizons is a comforting and resident-centered alternative to traditional assisted living facilities. Through Life Enrichment and our Memory Care Program, we strive to provide the best possible quality of life for your loved one.

What We Offer

Our Buildings

We offer private rooms which families are encouraged to decorate to make their loved one feel at home. Our buildings are designed to be barrier free environments with all of the bedrooms located on the outer walls. This allows our residents to navigate throughout the community and find their home easily and stress free.

Home-cooked Meals & Snacks

Good nutrition is vital for the health, independence and wellbeing of people with dementia.

Medication Administration

All medications will be reviewed by the Facility’s registered nursing/administrative staff and administered by the facility staff under nurse supervision.

Life Enrichment

At Friendly Horizons we believe that an active life is essential to our residents’ well-being. Activities—whether spontaneous or planned, simple or elaborate—can bring about a feeling of self-worth and fulfillment. Our Life Enrichment program engages the body, heart, soul, and mind of our residents, ultimately improving their quality of life.

Our Life Enrichment Program is based on five basic goals:

Good Health

Regular physical exercise is crucial for individuals with Alzheimer’s and related dementias. Our exercise programs are simple, low-impact, and entertaining.

Good Taste

We provide experiences that celebrate the joy and pleasure that can come from food—stimulating the senses and providing a time for socialization and reminiscing.

Good Art

We encourage artistic expression, poetry, and music, celebrating the creativity often experienced by individuals with Alzheimer’s and related dementias.

Good Knowledge

We believe that learning never stops, even for those with Alzheimer’s and related dementias. Our life enrichment activities offer opportunities for continued learning and personal growth.

Good Spirit

We offer experiences that enable each person to develop inner peace through their own personal spiritual journey, respecting individual beliefs and practices.
